Is LearnLingo really free to start?
Yes, you can start with no card. But free enrollment does not mean every unit is free: English and Hindi have five free foundation lessons each, Japanese (Early Access) has four free units, and French has Unit 1 of Foundations free (5 lessons). Later units need Premium, and the free ones stay free forever.
Which languages can I learn right now?
Four right now: English (explained in English from A1 to C2 skills, or in Hindi from A1 to B2) and Hindi (explained in English, from A1 to C2 skills), plus Japanese (Early Access) and French — the last two each with English or Hindi explanations. More languages are coming soon.
What does the French course cover?
French is organised around CEFR targets: A1 Foundations, A2 Building Blocks, B1 Fluency, and a B2 target with a C1 extension (Exam & Professional), each with an English-explained and a Hindi-explained version. These are learning targets, not a certificate, and we do not promise complete mastery or exam results.
Which French units are free?
Unit 1 of French Foundations (5 lessons) is free in both versions. Foundations Units 2–5 and every unit of the later French courses need Premium. Enrolling in a French course is free, but that does not unlock the Premium units.
Is it suitable for kids?
Yes. Lessons adapt their pacing and presentation for younger learners, with badges and shorter sessions, while adults get denser, practical tracks like business language and interview prep.
What does Premium unlock?
The later English and Hindi levels: grammar, real conversation practice, idioms, workplace and interview language, and exam-style practice (IELTS is used as the example), up to English C1/C2 and Hindi B2–C2, plus the later Japanese units and French beyond Unit 1 — $9.99/month, $24.99 per 3 months (~$8.33/month, save 17%), or $79.99/year (~$6.67/month, save 33%). India pricing: ₹799/month, ₹1,999 per 3 months, or ₹6,499/year. You pay by UPI and there is no auto-renewal.
Can I sign up for Premium right now?
Yes. Pick a plan on the Pricing page, scan the UPI QR for that plan, then email us the payment screenshot. We verify it and activate Premium within a few hours. All free lessons and units — English, Hindi, Japanese, and French Unit 1 — stay available at no cost.
Does Premium renew automatically?
No. Each plan is a one-time UPI payment for its period (1 month, 3 months or 1 year) and ends on its expiry date. To continue, just pay again. Your free lessons stay free forever, whether or not you keep Premium.
